Entangling cycles of incessant thought
On and on they go

Spirals of doom
Circles of pleasure
Spinning you ‘round the merry-go-round

Stories, beliefs and fairy tales
All many faces of the cycle
Lifting you higher and higher until they dump you
Up and down, round and round
Cycles of memory recycled again

The problem is others, whispers the cycle
Avoid them, fix them, remove them
All alone you end up
With the little cycles

Suffering the cycles you want them to stop Anything for a moment of quiet Numbing, avoiding, procrastinating, distracting All become intimately familiar to you And on…

After a long break, I’m happy to announce that I’m back and will be posting more regularly.

This break has been full of reflection and discovery. After letting the mud of confusion settle, some clarity has arisen. I hope to impart a piece of what insights I have gained, whilst bringing you along further explorations in a spirit of adventure and an unceasing desire to move past limitations. May you find something that resonates in the various forms of expression that are to follow.

Life dances under the nocturnal sun in full exuberance

I smell flowers in full bloom free fresh fragrance

I see spiders spill ilk in spun silk

I taste the sweetness of fresh strawberry

I hear life awake during this night of vibrance

I feel tears roll down my cheeks as i feel my life in resonance

Who would have known what sweetness lies in receptivity

I am going to school.
There is a wall on the path I take.
I wonder what is beyond the wall.
I want to look but i can’t, I am small.

I am small.
I am going to school.
There is a big wall on the path I take.
I wonder what is beyond the wall.
I can’t see what’s beyond it. Probably nothing, I think, since i can’t see anything.

I am small.
I am going to school.
There is a boring wall on the path I take.
There is nothing beyond the boring wall.

Now I am big…

To see things as they are. What a magnificent way to live ! Rather than adding superficial meaning that deforms your perceptions and disturbs your peace of mind, be objective and look at things for what they are. Don’t cling to mental fantasies of what you would like things to be.

Succulent wine: Fermented grapes.

Delicious roast beef: Heated dead cow.

Sex: A rubbing of genitals.

Farts: The vibration of the anal tissue due to the passing of gas.

Let us take an example that everyone knows very well-going to the bathroom-and see how applying this kind of thinking will…

The Sun, the Moon, and Earth. The biggest physical bodies that affect Life. Remove one and Life as it is know today is not possible. Remove the sun and it’s lights out in less than 13 minutes. Solar powered life dies and mortifying cold reigns in a couples hours. Remove the Moon and water bodies no longer ebb and flow, cycles do not function properly and insects are disoriented. If insects are disoriented, life doesn’t last very long. Remove the Earth and, well… that one doesn’t need much explaining does it. (Hint: Perhaps your feet might be in the void).

Entitlement is a poisonous potion you drink that makes you believe you deserve something that you don’t. It is a cocktail of choice that many people get drunk on never realising the damage it is doing.

Entitlement is delusion. You must rip it out of your system like a smouldering piece of cloth and cast it down in the dirt.

Just because you do something, that doesn’t automatically mean you should get the results you want. If what you do sucks, you should get results that suck. And even if you do all the right things, it doesn’t always work…

Life can be a beautiful creation that is meant to be savoured, tasted and experienced to the deepest depths of your being. Or life can just be something you do. Then you die. Nothing special. Something you have to endure and suffer day in and day out. A couple breaths and then it’s gone.

The only thing that separates these two world views is a set of beliefs. The only thing that separates the two is a choice. The choice to see the world a certain way. A choice to see beauty. A choice to question everything. …

Photo taken by yours truly.

You can learn a lot about life waiting at red lights. You learn a lot about yourself. You learn a lot about other people. It can be quite amusing to watch people and how they react.

How do you behave at a red light? Do you respect the red light? Why? Do you respect the orange light? Do you speed ahead to not get the red light or do you slow down? Do you anticipate the green light? Do you wait for others to cross before you go? If someone runs a red light do you follow them?

What about…

The quality of your life is proportional to the quality of the questions you dare to ask.

Ask and it shall be given.

Should you give people the answer to a question they haven’t taken the time to ask? Should you help someone who hasn’t asked for help? This is a question I’ve been pondering for a while now.

What if it is someone you love?

What if the lack of questions is creating pain, separation or suffering?

Should you always tell the truth? Should you help them?

Sometimes you know things others don’t. You know that the truth can…
